Well dd is only 5 , so obviously not yet. She wouldnt have a clue what I was on about anyway LOL But we are wondering about how to handle things with her older siblings (11,10 and 7) I think they need to know...there are a lot of problems between them and dd, so knowing would be good I think...just ...

My DD has just been diagnosed with Aspergers at age 5.6. BUT her behaviour is MUCH worse at home than school, and it was me that asked for an assessment. AND I used to work for a CAMHS team, so spotted a lot of the warning signs. If I hadn't known what I did, I do think it would have been much later...

Oh that was interesting. It is an interesting topic how girls present differently isnt it. Ithink school are quite shocked at DD's recent diagnosis bacause at school she is just quiet and well behaved....

I must admit that in my past life (ie before having 6 children!)I worked as a Child Psychiatrist, which I think helped me to spot a lot of the warning signs in DD. It doesn't seem to have prepared me for the ordeal of her assessment or the shock of actually...
